The debut of Made By Legacy’s pop-up flea market was situated on a rooftop of a historic Sibunruang Building, which is the first ‘high rise’ building on Silom road, built in 1961 with Modern Colonial architecture.

This event brought together the very best of vintage stores, traders and local craftsmen.  It’d been curated for people with interests in Classic Americana aesthetic, vintage and industrial menswear.  The items for sales were not only vintage apparel but also a range of accessories, decorative items, potteries, watches, vinyl records and many antiques rarities.

MBL offered the opportunity to experience traditional American style barber, enjoy music from distinguished vinyl collectors who provided the sounds to a backdrop of Bangkok panoramic skyline. Moreover, American food-truck style and beverages were served in a decorative setting of vintage furniture.

Thailand is renowned for having one of the best vintage apparel and collectables in the world but they are hidden under the surface of commercial retailers and stores are often difficult to find. However, for one weekend on Dec 22^nd – 23^rd Made By Legacy was putting together an authentic vintage culture to collectors and enthusiasts alike. It was a genuine experience that this city has yet to see.

Made By Legacy Flea Market ครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 22-23 ธันวาคม 2555 นั้นได้แสดงตัวตนตวามเป็นวัฒนธรรมอเมริกันแบบดั้งเดิม ตั้งแต่ยุคต้น จนถึงกลางศตวรรษที่ 20 ซึ่งคนที่ชอบก็ได้มารวมตัวกัน เพื่อจัดกิจกรรมงานตลาดนัดแบบอเมริกันชนบนดาดฟ้าตึกใจกลางเมืองย่านสีลม ซึ่งมีประวัติอันยาวนาน ณ อาคารที่มีชื่อว่า “อาคารสีบุญเรือง” โดยสถานที่แห่งนี้นับได้ว่าเป็นอาคารแรกๆ ที่มีการก่อสร้างบนถนนสีลมโดยมีสถาปัตยกรรมแบบ โมเดิร์นโคโลเนียล

งานครั้งนี้จะเป็นการรวมร้านค้าที่มีเอกลักษณ์ นักสะสม และช่างฝีมือที่มีผลงานมารวมตัวกันอย่างที่ไม่เคยมีมาก่อน  โดยสินค้าที่นำมาเสนอนั้นมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลักเป็นผู้ชายในเมืองกรุงที่มีใจรัก และสนใจในรูปแบบการดำเนินชีวิตแบบอเมริกันดั้งเดิม ซึ่งสินค้าส่วนใหญ่ในงานจะเป็นของสไตล์วินเทจและยุคหลังการปฏิวัติอุตสาหกรรม ตั้งแต่เครื่องแต่งกายหัวจรดเท้า ของแต่งบ้านต่างๆอย่างเช่นโคมไฟ ต้นไม้ และกระถาง นอกจากนี้ยังมียีนส์ นาฬิกา แผ่นเสียงและของสะสมอีกมากมาย

นอกจากนี้ในงานยังจะมีบริการตัดผมแบบอเมริกัน มีดนตรีจากกลุ่มคนเล่นแผ่นเสียงคลอเคล้ากับบรรยากาศดาดฟ้าที่เห็นเส้นขอบฟ้าของกรุงเทพรอบทิศที่ขาดไม่ได้คือการให้บริการอาหาร และเครื่องดื่ม รวมถึงร้านขนมเค้กและร้านกาแฟ โดยสถานที่ได้จัดบริเวณไว้ให้ผู้ร่วมงานได้พักผ่อนหย่อนใจ ส่วนบรรยากาศในงานโดยรวมตกแต่งโดยเฟอร์นิเจอร์วินเทจ เพื่อที่ผู้ร่วมงานจะได้ซึมซับบรรยากาศ และชมทิวทัศน์ฟ้าโปร่งจากหนึ่งในย่านสำคัญที่สุดของกรุงเทพ คือสีลม งานนี้ถือเป็นงานส่งเสริมการรวมตัวของกลุ่มคนรักวินเทจที่ชัดเจน และมีเอกลักษณ์มากที่สุดเท่าที่เคยมีมา
